HP has officially unveiled their first webOS based tablet, the HP Touchpad and it will come with a new version of HP’s webOS software, webOS 3.0, plus a range of impressive specifications.
The HP TouchPad will features a 9.7 inch capacitive multitouch display, with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixel, processing comes from a dual core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and there is also 512MB of RAM.
There is also a 1.3 megapixel camera on the front of the Palm TouchPad for video calls, plus a virtual keyboard, a light sensor, accelerometer, compass (magnetometer), and gyroscope.
The HP TouchPad offers support for Adobe Flash 10.1, plus a wide range of music and video formats, which include DRM-free MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, AMR, QCELP, WAV, MPEG-4, H.263, H.264.
Other specifications on the HP TouchPad include 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR, and it features a 6300 mAh battery, although HP have yet to give any battery life figures.
It looks like there will be a WiFi only model plus a WiFi and 3G model, and the 3G model will come with A-GPS, there is also built in Beats Audio to both models.
